Trivia

• On Tuesday, January 9, 2018, Kiernan received a congratulatory tweet on her casting in the Netflix series from Melissa Joan Hart, who also portrayed Sabrina Spellman in the 90s sitcom entitled Sabrina the Teenage Witch.^[1]
• Kiernan is allergic to cats. She made this discovery when she broke out in hives after picking up one of the five cats that play Salem during the first month on set.^[2]
• Kiernan is a huge fan of The CW's Riverdale and is in support of an eventual crossover between it and Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.^[3]
• Kiernan was initially considered for the role of Betty Cooper on The CW's Riverdale by showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa. However, Lili Reinhart went on to be cast in the role. However, Aguirre-Sacasa kept Shipka in mind when he began developing Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. So, when the show's casting director mentioned that Shipka might be interested in playing the teen witch, Aguirre-Sacasa began writing the role with Kiernan in mind.'^[4]
• Kiernan and her co-star Miranda Otto both starred in the 2019 horror film The Silence.^[5]
