The Greendale Mines, also known as The Devil's Doorway, are located in Greendale. The Kinkle family have owned the mines for many generations. The mines span deep underground. Some say that the Greendale Mines go so deep that one shaft goes all the way down to Hell, thus owing to their nickname.
History[]
According to Harvey's grandfather, the Kinkles used to be the Von Kunkles. During that time they were hunters and on a terrible winter, they were tasked with getting rid of a some weird people who lived on the outskirts of town and were digging tunnels in the Hills. The townsfolk was scared of them, so the Kinkles drove them away and took over their tunnels as mines.
