Frank Andrews is a recurring character on The CW's Riverdale. He is portrayed by Ryan Robbins.
Frank is Fred's younger brother and Archie's uncle, who returned to Riverdale following his brother's death to look over Archie. However, Frank would later leave town after the authorities came looking for him due to his invokvment in a private paramilitary contract. Seven years later, he came back after hearing that Archie was in trouble and decided to turn himself in. Frank remained in prison at the Lodge Detention Center for some time before escaping during the riot and being officially pardoned for helping track down the escapees.
In 1955, Frank coaches the Riverdale Bulldogs basketball team. He sets himself as an example of manhood for his nephew Archie and for Reggie, the team's star player who lives with the Andrews.
Character Description[]
Frank Andrews is a blue collar, former high school football star – tough, brash, and charming. His temper and vices constantly get him into trouble. He’s lived in the shadow of Fred (the late Luke Perry), his beloved older brother, since he was born. As a result, Frank joined the Army in search of his own identity. After three tours of duty, Frank Andrews is haunted and in need of a home.[1]
