The Riverdale Bulldogs are the official varsity football team for Riverdale High School. After the football team started the cult-like group called the Red Circle, Principal Weatherbee suspended the team until Archie signed a letter apologizing to the entire Riverdale High community. Archie refused, and the team remained suspended. Since then, the Bulldogs have been reinstated. Years later, the Bulldogs were disbanded due to lack of funding. However, Archie manages to revive the Bulldogs with Veronica's help.
