Hermosa Lodge

Hermosa Lodge is a recurring character on The CW's Riverdale. She is portrayed by Mishel Prada.

She is Hiram's illegitimate daughter and Veronica's half-sister.

Character Description[]

Hermosa, a Miami-born and -raised private investigator who arrives in town in classic femme fatale fashion. Hermosa is confident, ambitious and calculating — and knows that everything comes with a price.^[1]

Early Life[]

Hermosa is the oldest child and first born daughter of Hiram Lodge. Hermosa's mother was a singer at one of her father's Miami clubs, Sala de Oro. There, she met Hiram and they began a fling which resulted in the birth of Hermosa. Her father took care of her mother until she died. He also continued to care for Hermosa in secret from his wife and Veronica. Hermosa lived in Miami in her youth prior to arriving in Riverdale.

Physical Appearance[]

Hermosa is a young Latina woman who shares a strong resemblance to her younger paternal half-sister (olive skin, glossy jet-black hair, large expressive brown eyes, a slender yet voluptuous physique and long legs). Just like Veronica, she wears signature black cape with an authentic pearl necklace which, evidently, was given to her by her father.

Personality[]

Hermosa is loyal to her father, going to great length to set him free from prison. Hermosa is also a very intelligent and insightful person. Thanks to sheer observation she very quickly figures out secrets, though she sometimes misinterprets what she sees or hears an example would be when she thought that her sister Veronica was in a secret relationship with Betty.

Hermosa is Hiram's illegitimate firstborn. He had cared for her all her life. She respects her father and always stands by his side. Hermosa know what he's like, but she has no problem with it, unlike her sister Veronica.

Veronica had never known of her sister's existence. Their acquaintance was unsuccessful, Veronica considered Hermosa as her father's detective who was trying to hurt her mother at a court hearing. When she learns that Hermosa is her sister their relationship has not improved, Veronica continues to perceive her with hostility, probably due to the fact that he sees that she is similar in ambition to their father.

Hermosa treats her indulgently as a cranky child, and chances are Veronica is subconsciously a little jealous of their father for Hermosa.
