“ | I, too, lost my child. It was she who invoked my spirit, called upon guides both mortal and infernal to ferry my soul here. The saint Lucia took my right hand, the demon Lucy took my left. I wear their crown on this, the longest of nights, and until the dawn remakes the world, I speak with their authority. | ” |

Early Life[]
Diana met a warlock named Edward Spellman and fell in love with him. She followed him down the Path of Night. She and Edward later got married with the blessing of the Dark Lord. Sometime later, she gave birth to her daughter Sabrina, but she wasn’t sure if Edward was her father. Shortly after Sabrina was born, Diana baptized Sabrina in a Christian church, Holy Mother Church of Greendale, with her sister-in-law Hilda as a witness; trusting her to keep her secret, as she left the Baptism record with her.
The day after Diana had Sabrina baptized in a Christian church, Edward brought a newborn Sabrina to the Greendale Woods. With his sister, Zelda, as a witness, he signed her name in the Book of the Beast, both entirely unaware of Diana's actions.
Both Edward and Diana died in a plane crash on the way to Italy to give the Anti-Pope a new creed that would forever change how witches and mortals interact. They were travelling on Flight 2331 when the plane went down and Sabrina was teleported to her aunts and survived. Despite their deaths being documented as an accident, some, such as Weird Sisters, suggest that their deaths were not an accident at all and that Father Blackwood actually caused their plane to crash.

Physical Appearance[]
In life, Diana had fair skin, short blonde hair, and blue eyes. She is often seen to be wearing a blue coat, presumably the one she died in during the plane crash.
Personality[]
Diana Spellman is a loving and devoted mother whose presence lingers beyond death, watching over her daughter, Sabrina, from the afterlife. Though she died in a plane crash alongside her husband Edward, Diana’s spirit remains tethered to the mortal world, residing in Limbo due to the unnatural circumstances of her death. Despite this, she frequently reaches out to Sabrina, offering guidance, warnings, and comfort when her daughter is in danger or at a crossroads.
Unlike Edward, who was fully immersed in the Church of Night, Diana was a mortal woman who chose to follow her husband into the world of witchcraft. However, in death, she expresses regret about that path and warns Sabrina against making the same sacrifices she did. Diana’s maternal instincts remain strong even in the afterlife—she intervenes in supernatural conflicts, such as the custody dispute over baby Leticia, and aids Sabrina in deceiving Gryla to protect the child. Though she is unable to physically interact with her daughter, she provides Sabrina with wisdom and reassurance, easing her fears about love, family, and belonging.
Diana’s spirit is deeply protective of Sabrina, appearing in dreams and visions to caution her against dark forces, including the Dark Lord himself. At times, she is cryptic and fearful, aware of the supernatural dangers surrounding her daughter but unable to fully shield her from them. Nevertheless, she does what she can to offer strength and knowledge, even as she exists in a realm beyond Sabrina’s reach.
Ultimately, Diana is defined by her unwavering love for her daughter. Her biggest fear in death is that Sabrina will not be properly loved and protected, but upon seeing the family that surrounds her, she finds peace. Though she is unable to remain by Sabrina’s side, Diana ensures that her daughter knows she is loved, guiding her from the shadows even when she cannot be there in person.
