Season 2

Cassidy Bullock first encountered Veronica Lodge when the latter paid a visit to the store where Cassidy worked. After flirting for a few minutes, Veronica's friend, Betty Cooper, managed to get Veronica to leave the store. However this did not happen before Cassidy gave Veronica his name.

Cassidy under the mask

One night following the meeting, four young men wearing black hoods broke into the Lodge Lodge, the place where Veronica was staying. After the four crooks had taken some valuables, one of them, Cassidy, decided to make sure his victims knew how powerful he was by beating them with a bat. Unbeknownst to Cassidy, however, was that Veronica had managed to trigger an alarm which alerted her allies of her being in danger. Once the thieves had learned this fact, they took off running. Veronica's boyfriend, Archie Andrews, soon followed.

Cassidy unmasked

Eventually, Archie was able to catch up to Cassidy, and tackled the robber to the ground. Immediately after Archie ripped the hood off Cassidy, Veronica's father's capo, Andre, stepped out of the shadows, telling Archie to leave. After being ensured by Andre that Cassidy would be dealt with, Archie ran back to his friends, but not before hearing a single gun shot ring out.[1]

Much later, when Archie was being inaugurated as student body president, Sheriff Minetta arrested Archie for the murder of Cassidy Bullock. Archie's protests fell to deaf ears. As Archie was being led away, his eyes met with a jovial Hiram's, knowing this was the villain's work because of a recent argument.[2]

Archie's trial

Three months have passed since that fateful evening in the school gymnasium where Archie was framed by Hiram Lodge and arrested for Cassidy's murder. However, unbeknownst to many in the courtroom, Cassidy was actually killed by Andre. Before the jury could finish deliberating, the Judge postponed the trial until after Labor Day.

Cassidy appears in Archie's dream. He is chased down through the woods but instead of being shot and killed by Andre, he is killed by Archie.

Archie is arrested

Labor Day weekend is over and Archie's trial is now in session. However, the jury could not reach a verdict. They're deadlocked. Six-to-six. With that, the jury is dismissed. And so, in lieu of another trial, the State is prepared to offer a deal for a lesser sentence, Ms. Wright says. Instead of prison, time served plus two years in juvenile detention, if Archie will plead guilty to the crime of manslaughter. Despite his mother's counsel, Archie takes the deal and is taken directly from the courthouse to the Leopold and Loeb Juvenile Detention Center, where he will serve out his sentence.[3]

Archie, Cassidy, and the Shadow Lake boys play G&G

Cassidy, along with the Shadow Lake boys, briefly appear in Archie's dream/hallucination. After Archie is attacked by a bear on the trail, he wakes up to the sight of Cassidy Bullock with a bullet in his head and the three other Shadow Lake boys playing Gryphons and Gargoyles. Archie concludes that he must be dreaming or hallucinating from the loss of blood as they are all dead. However, Cassidy attempts to concise him otherwise, claiming that they’re really there and that it’s all real. However, Archie recalls being framed for Cassidy’s murder and finding the Shadow Lake boys in a cave after they’d been shot by Sheriff Minetta. Cassidy tells Archie that the only way to return to Eldervair is to play G&G.

Cassidy convinces Archie to keep playing

Archie continues his game with Cassidy and the Shadow Lake boys. The challenge reveals the weakness, which keeps him from winning. His card puts him face to face with the Black Hood. Archie finds himself in Pop’s during his first encounter with the Black Hood just moments before he shoots Fred. However, this time, Archie tackles the Black Hood to the ground and kills him. Archie returns with the hood as proof. However, Cassidy and the Shadow Lake boys are gone. In their place is Warden Norton.[4]

Physical Appearance

Cassidy Bullock was a young man who had light brown and blue eyes. He did not wear an employee's uniform when working. Archie was able to catch up to Cassidy during a chase, meaning that Cassidy may not have been able to run very fast.

Personality

Upon meeting Cassidy, Veronica seemed to think he was a pleasant person, as the two began to flirt soon after their first encounter with each other. However, some time later, Veronica was able to suspect that Cassidy was not who he seemed to be, and instead, was a thief interested only in valuables. He also has an intense resentment towards those of upper class.
