Caliban is a recurring character of Netflix's Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. He is portrayed by Sam Corlett.
Caliban is a clay demon, molded from the clay of the pit itself, and the self-proclaimed Prince of Hell. He challenges Sabrina to the "Unholy Regalia." In the original timeline, Caliban defeats Sabrina and becomes King of Hell. He went on to lead the Infernal Armies on a crusade to claim the Earth as the Tenth Circle. He failed after being defeated by the pagans. In the current timeline created by Sabrina, who went back in time to save her friends and family, Caliban loses the Unholy Regalia and is incased in stone. He is later released and becomes the husband of Sabrina Morningstar. After getting sucked into the Void by Sabrina Spellman, he is left trapped within at Sabrina's request when her friends rescue everyone else.
Character Description[]
A darkly handsome young man with a strange charm, Caliban is a so-called Prince of Hell, sculpted from clay from the City of Pandemonium. He challenges Sabrina for control of the Throne of Hell, even as infernal sparks start to fly between him and the teen witch.[1]

Caliban appears to have shoulder-length blond hair which he always leaves down, green eyes and a solid physique. His casual attire consists of jeans and waistcoat. He typically doesn't wear shirts, hence showing off his toned upper body.
Personality[]
In the beginning, Caliban is shown to be arrogant and untrustworthy as seen by his actions during the Unholy Regalia quest. He will do whatever it takes to claim the throne, even going as far as cheating. He has managed to acquire many allies in Hell, all who support his claim to the throne. Later on though, he does help Sabrina and her friends when Roz turns to stone. He even considers a political marriage with Sabrina so they could instead rule Hell together.
Powers and Abilities[]
Caliban is a clay demon who has displayed various abilities, such as the power to cast spells as well as teleportation, which often appears as a body of fire. He is also very informed and skilled in witchcraft. It was his knowledge of about the myth of Pygmalion that Sabrina hoped would save her friend, Roz.

Trivia[]
- His name is possibly a reference to the character Caliban from William Shakespeare's The Tempest.
- In the play, he's the son of the witch Sycorax, although there's no relation to the witch of the same name in the series.
- Caliban was mentioned in the novel Daughter of Chaos, which is set between the events of Part 1 and Part 2. While Sabrina and Prudence were doing research on the prince of hell that was going to arrive in Greendale soon, Sabrina concluded that it wasn't Caliban. Prudence mentioned there was a rumour that "Caliban was sexy."[2]
