Brittania "Britta" Beach is a recurring character on The CW's Riverdale. She is portrayed by Kyra Leroux.
Britta ran away from home after coming out to her parents, who disowned her when they learned she was gay. With no place to call home, she found shelter at Riverdale High until seeking help from Toni, who arranged for Britta to become Cheryl's ward, whom she lived with at Thornhill until reconciling with her parents and returning home. Britta also attends Riverdale High and is the first female student to join the Riverdale Bulldogs.

Physical Appearance[]
Britta is a young, teenage girl with red hair, brown eyes, and pale skin.
Personality[]
Britta Beach is a brave, principled, and fiercely loyal young woman growing up in the often chaotic and surreal world of Riverdale. First introduced as a student at Riverdale High with a passion for football, Britta stands out immediately for her willingness to challenge gender norms and play on the all-boys Bulldogs team, demonstrating confidence, determination, and a refusal to be underestimated.
Britta’s strong moral compass and quick sense of justice come into sharper focus when she stands up to homophobic bullying, courageously coming out as gay despite not yet being accepted at home. When her parents reject her identity, Britta’s resilience shines through, even as she experiences homelessness, trauma, and isolation. Her vulnerability is met with strength; rather than crumble, she finds a support system in Toni Topaz and Cheryl Blossom and becomes part of their extended chosen family.
In Cheryl’s world, Britta shows an uncanny capacity for loyalty and bravery, often serving as Cheryl’s confidante and, later, her literal savior during a supernatural crisis. Despite the threats posed by Abigail Blossom’s possession and magical machinations, Britta never backs down, even infiltrating dreamscapes and risking her own safety to bring Cheryl back. Her level-headedness and clever problem-solving skills make her an unexpected but formidable player in Riverdale’s darker, more arcane storylines.
Emotionally intelligent and grounded, Britta is also perceptive—she picks up on the strange shifts in Cheryl’s behavior, empathizes with Toni’s experiences, and shows compassion for others even while coping with her own struggles. She has a strong sense of duty, a subtle sense of humor, and a sharp, often underappreciated intelligence.
Ultimately, Britta Beach embodies the strength of someone who has had to grow up too quickly, yet retains a quiet hope for belonging, acceptance, and love. Her journey is one of courage in the face of adversity, and her place in Riverdale is defined by her heart, her integrity, and her unwavering fight for what’s right—even when the odds are terrifyingly against her.
