Alice discusses the bomb explosion

Alice looks sadly at the burned-out ruins of Andrews house from her kitchen window. Sitting at the kitchen counter are Archie, Betty, Jughead, and Frank. Betty and Archie explains they were in Archie's room when Betty got a call from a mysterious male caller, telling them to get out of the house because there was a bomb under the bed. Archie claims that they ran downstairs and slid under the table just as the bomb went off. All the while, Jughead was in the garage. Alice recommends they go to the Riverdale General Hospital for a check-up. Archie and Jughead insists that they're fine, but Alice takes Betty nonetheless in case she sustained some trauma.

Alice tells Betty about the dead nurse

On their way out of the hospital, Alice is distracted when Betty's attention is all caught up by an orderly passing by.

At the house, Alice gets a call from RIVW, and breaks the news to Betty. A nurse was killed at Riverdale General. Her throat was slit and the body was left in a dumpster.[1]

Alice, Tabitha, and Frank opens up the floor for the community

Short for Toni, the Riverdale Town Council opens up the floor for community members to ask questions and give announcements. After Archie asks for an extension on the permit for the dumpsters outside of his house, Veronica announces that her father is dead. She's fine and welcomes them to rejoice. Percival Pickens then takes the time to introduce himself to the community. Alice welcomes Percival, who reveals that he's related to General Pickens to whom Riverdale dedicated Pickens Day and that with a little bit of luck and hard work, Riverdale could become one of the greatest and prosperous towns in America. He has many ideas he'd like to share with the council. However, before he can finish, Toni arrives after stopping a gang war from erupting.

Alice is in danger

Alice brews Archie and his crew a pot of fresh coffee. However, Frank and Tom notice Archie drinking his steaming hot cup without suffering any pain or burns.

Alice comes back home with Bingo, unaware that the Trash Bag Killer is upstairs with Archie. Alice informs Archie that Bingo got into her closet and ruined her heels. Alice leaves Bingo at the house and exits. After she does, Bingo rushes upstairs at Archie's command and attacks TBK, knocking him through the boarded up window and on to the ground below.[2]

Riverdale: Worst Town in America?[]

RD-Caps-6x08-The-Town-04-Frank-Alice

Reading a bad article

At the Cooper house, Alice and Frank read a town defamatory article published anonymously on the Riverdale Choice newspaper, titled "Riverdale: Worst Town in America?" The article was a blistering critique of Riverdale, calling out Veronica's casino, the street gangs like the Serpents and Ghoulies, the town's long history of ignorance and backwards thinking, their over taxed law enforcement, lack of culture, and struggling economy.

RD-Caps-6x08-The-Town-32-Frank-Alice

Council meeting to discuss the article

At Town Hall, Veronica gets the floor given that her casino was one of many subjects. The Babylonium not only employs Riverdale citizens, they also have the potential to bring in out-of-towners, but Alice argues that only she and Reggie will truly profit from the casino, before questioning when was the last time a Lodge had done anything good for their town. Archie interrupts and would like to cut to the chase. He calls out the author of the article, demanding they show their face. Percival Pickens claims ownership of the article. He left it nameless in fear that if they saw the name Pickens, they'd dismiss his word because of what his great-great-grandfather did, which was essentially genocide against the Serpents and Toni's ancestors. When Archie invites Percival to a fight in the parking lot, Frank interjects and allows Percival to offer his solutions. He wants to start with the homeless encampment on Sketch Alley. Poverty begets crime and drugs until no one is safe, and so he wants the homeless to be bused out of town, but Archie retorts that Riverdale takes care of their own and that includes the homeless population. Percival then asks if Archie has a solution given that he's opposed Percival's so strongly, but at the moment, he doesn't.

RD-Caps-6x08-The-Town-52-Alice-Percival

Alice talks with Percival

With his charming accent and a bit of flirtation, Percival pays Alice a house visit to hopefully persuade her to see his side and agree to get rid of the homeless population. However, Alice doesn't want to make a decision until Archie has had a chance to present his solutions. Percival assumed Alice would have a personal stake in making Riverdale safer, given what happened to Polly.

RD-Caps-6x08-The-Town-61-Alice

Alice opposes the casino

At the next town meeting, Veronica and Reggie give their proposal for the Babylonium. Instead of the town and casino being at odds, she proposes to the council that they work together to rebrand as a family friendly destination hotspot. When Alice sarcastically asks if children can gamble now, Veronica reveals her plans for an arcade and daycare. However, as Frank points out, Riverdale already has a lot of broken people, and a casino isn't a healthy environment for them. Alice agrees to look over the proposal, but in the meantime, if they have any trouble with the casino, then any partnership will be out of the question. Archie is up next with his proposal to build micro houses for the homeless, with the labor being provided free of charge by Andrews Construction. Toni is impressed with his proposal, with Tabitha adding that they have similar mini houses in Chicago, which are game changing. Archie wants to start with 30 houses. Unfortunately, it will cost approximately $20,00-25,000 to build each house, which Alice remarks they can't afford. Percival points out that his proposal will cost them nothing and can be carried out immediately, if approved. While Toni and Tabitha like Archie's proposal, they need funding and proof of concept.

Alice reports on the news

Alice reports on the TV news about Kevin's attack in Sketch Alley. She takes the opportunity to further her agenda on cleaning the streets of Riverdale from gamblers, gangs, and homeless people.

Another meeting is held. Percival is celebrated at the town hall meeting for ridding the town of its homeless population. Toni, Tabitha, and Frank remain skeptical, but Alice seems enthusiastic. Percival couldn't have done this without Tom, who reveals that Percival will be joining the department and working as a deputy with him and Kevin to keep the peace. Archie compares Percival to a super villain in his head. Jughead agrees and tells Archie that they need to talk.

RD-Caps-6x08-The-Town-146-Alice-Veronica-Reggie

Alice shuts down the Babylonium

Veronica and Reggie notice that the casino didn't even come up during the meeting and confront Alice, who after careful review and solid advice from Percival, tells Veronica that the council believes that there's a lot of risk of partnering with Babylonium, which can be mitigated, but only if Veronica falls back. The Lodge name is synonymous with crime and corruption due to her father. Veronica is not her father and has worked really hard to not be, but Alice isn't interested and challenges Veronica to even try and get the casino up without their support. Between the picketing, the bad publicly, the complaints to the gaming board, the raids, and the sanctions, she wouldn't stand a chance.[3]

Town Councilors hear Percival's motion

Another town council meeting is taking place. Percival announces at the council meeting that the town-wide consensus is complete. With the homeless gone, their main sense of anxiety stems from the gang war between the Serpents and the Ghoulies. Percival singles out Toni and asks for her opinion, given her position as Serpent Queen. Toni claims that there is no war and that she's been in constant contact with the Ghoulies' leader Twyla Twyst in an effort to de-escalate tension. They're close to declaring a cease fire. Percival proposes simply disbanding the Serpents, but Tabitha interjects and reminds Percival that Toni isn't on trial and that they should move on to the next item on their agenda.

Manipulated by Percival, Alice and Frank are convening an emergency meeting of the council to remove Toni from the council.

RD-Caps-6x09-The-Serpent-Queens-Gambit-45-Frank-Alice

Alice informs the kids Toni was voted out

In response to the gang-related shooting at Pop's the night prior, the town and council gather for Percival to submit a motion, which insists that Toni immediately be removed from the council. Tabitha interjects and gives Toni the opportunity to speak. Toni reveals that she's spent her entire life in service to Riverdale. After high school, she graduated from college with a degree in social work. She then became a guidance counselor at Riverdale High and kept its doors open when Hiram Lodge tried to shut them down. She then used her position as a small business owner and proud member of the LGBTQ+ community to help with various charities and organizations. And if there's any doubt about her integrity, she reminds everyone that she's raising her son in Riverdale, which is the same reason she's so invested. Alice then decides to put the motion to a vote.

Archie, Betty, and Jughead arrive at the community center, where Alice and Frank inform them that Toni was voted off the council. Except for Tabitha, it was an unanimous vote.

Tabitha, Frank, and Alice hold an emergency meeting as Percival has been nominated for election to the town council, filling the vacancy left open by Toni. The vote is unanimous and Percival joins the council.[4]

The Council next move

Up next on the agenda for the council meeting is the Pickens Park revitalization program, spearheaded by Percival, who wishes to clean up the park and reinstate a new statue of his ancestor Augustus General Pickens. However, Archie, speaking for the town, explains that General Pickens was a murderer who slaughtered the Uktena tribe and stole their land. Before anything is approved, Tabita informs Percival why the statue was removed in the first place; for a lot of people, General Pickens is an offensive reminder of their town's dark history. Percival concedes and moves forward with the next item on the agenda, which is the new town sign, with an updated design that doesn't feature the town's slogan, "Home of Pop's Chock'lit Shoppe."

Archie interrupts the council meeting to announce that effective immediately, the El Royale will be unavailable for town hall meetings, as he's decided to reopen it as a boxing gym for local kids. Percival questions if this is a good idea, but Jughead interjects that it would inspire the community and fill the youths of Riverdale with a sense of civic and personal pride. In addition to, the El Royale is about to be world-famous, due to it being owned and operated by Archie, the world's toughest man alive, as an adjudicator from the Guinness Book of World Records is in route to Riverdale to witness Archie perform a set of feats of human endurance, for which they're inviting everyone to attend.

Alice, Frank, and Percival voted for Babylonium

Veronica and Tabitha have brought their proposals before the council, who have decided to go with Veronica and the Babylonium billboard, Frank announces. Alice explains that while Pop's represents Riverdale's past, they want to look towards the town's future, and the casino promises more revenue, short and long term. Percival adds that Pop's will always be part of the town's legacy, which Tabitha takes issue with, as Pop's is also part of Riverdale's present and future.

Mind controlled by Percival

The night before the boxing match between Archie and Percival, Pickens uses his mind control powers to manipulate Alice into allowing him into Betty's room, where he then used his abilities on her and forced Betty to tell him everything about Archie, before making her forget.[5]

Manipulated by Percival[]

Alice hosts Percival on her show

Alice brings Percival Pickens on her morning show, Riverdale Today to discuss his game changing announcement for the future of Riverdale. The newly-appointed councilman explains that it will include a new, privately owned railway, which will drive straight through the heart of Riverdale. Unfortunately, Percival claims that Pop's Chock'lit Shoppe would be the most ideal and central location for a station, which would mean tearing down the diner.[6]

Alice eavesdrops Archie, Betty, Jughead, and Tabitha staging a coup to overthrow Percival and the Council. In doing so, they will first need to gather public support from their friends and neighbors hosting a meeting at Pop's after nightfall.

Alice warns Percival

Alice shares her latest discovery with Percival on how they intend to overthrow the Council and appoint themselves the new town leaders. Fortunately, Alice has a plan. There's a fog rolling into town that some are even calling the "Wrath of God." Alice proposes they use this to their advantage to stop the meeting from happening, in order to give Percival some time to execute his next move.

On the News report, Alice says that there's a great fog moving into Riverdale, similar to that of 1922, which enveloped their town 100 years ago. So, due to imminent power outages and hazardous driving conditions, at sundown, the Town Council has instituted a curfew for all residents to stay home until the fog clears.

Alice reveals Percival is the new mayor

The day after the fog, Alice reveals that Percival is Riverdale's new mayor during her Tv program, Riverdale Today. While they were waiting for the fog to lift the previous night, the Council, minus Tabitha, met, dissolved itself, and appointed Percival mayor, collecting enough signatures to ratify the Council's endorsement.[7]

Alice gives a phone call to Betty, asking her about a book she checked out of the library when she was 12. Alice explains that Percival is collecting all overdue library books and needs it back. And until Betty finds it or an exact copy, Alice has given Percival Betty's diary as collateral.[8]

Hal tells Alice about the "serial killer gene"

Betty is exploring her own memories with Jughead's help. Searching through her repressed memories. This time, he finds young Betty eavesdropping on a conversation between her mother and father. Hal reveals to Alice that she has the MAOA mutation, otherwise known as the "serial killer gene." Alice is reasonably alarmed, but Hal is pleased, especially with the notion that Betty may have it as well.

RD-Caps-6x14-Venomous-89-Hal-Alice

Hal and Alice hid "something"

At the news station, Betty confronts her mother for lying to her about the "serial killer gene." At the Farm, Alice and Polly claimed that Betty was the only member who had the gene, but Betty confronts Alice with the intel she learned from Jughead. She also accuses her mother of allowing her father to groom her to become a murderer. Alice insists that didn't happen and that this is merely the result of Betty's persecution complex.

Betty takes Jughead up to the news station to confront her mother about the lies she's been told her entire life. Betty asks what's the worst thing that's happened in their house that her mother has kept hidden. Alice claims that she's not hiding anything, but Jughead reads her mind and discovers that she and Hal hid something under the floorboards beneath the table.

RD-Caps-6x14-Venomous-103-Alice-Officer

The corpse is uncovered

The next day, Alice returns home to find Betty and Jughead broken up the floorboards beneath the dining room table, and uncovered the corpse of a police officer. Alice reveals that she and the girls had just gotten back from apple picking when Hal sent the girls upstairs and asked for Alice's help in disposing the body of a deputy who had come around asking questions about his suspicious activities. Alice initially wanted to call the police, but Hal threatened to blame the murder on her. Because she didn't want to lose the girl and didn't want their family to implode, Alice helped him. And so, Betty asks once more if her mother knew that her father was grooming her.

RD-Caps-6x14-Venomous-104-Betty-Alice

Alice reveals Betty the truth

Alice explains that Betty was Hal's favorite. And they had a connection. Alice feared that he might try to cultivate Betty's darkness. But Alice insists she didn't give up on Betty. She knew if the time came, she would be able to control and stop whatever impulses that Hal was trying to manifest in Betty, who finally understands why her mother was so controlling during her adolescence and pushed her to be the perfect daughter. Betty is upset with Alice and says that her plan didn't work because the evil is still inside of her.[9]

Alice's "evil aura"

Later, Alice confronts her daughter after she learns that Betty took the twins from her. Betty claims that there's evil in the house and that she's trying to protect them from growing up the same way she did. Alice feels insulted, questioning if Betty cares about other people's feelings or if she even has feelings. All the sacrifices she's made were never enough for Betty. She always had to conjure up villains to explain everything that's wrong with her, but Alice accuses her of being the villain. It's then that Betty sees her mother's aura. Despite everything she did as a mother, Alice claims that Betty has always been a bad person. She hopes that Betty is never a mother so that she doesn't have to experience half the things Betty had made her endure.[10]

Charles is dying[]

Alice tells Betty that Charles is dying

Alice phones Betty, telling her to head back home because Charles is back, and he is in Betty's bedroom.

In the kitchen, Alice is fixing him a meal and explains to Betty that he's dying. Doctors thinks is a case of sepsis or leukemia. But since Shankshaw Prison infirmary is full, they sent him home. Whatever awful things he did, Alice wants Betty to call a truce with her brother and spend what little time they have together.

Alice attempts to kill Charles

Crushed by the weight of losing another child, Alice tries to smother Charles to death with a pillow but is stopped in time by Betty, who saw the scene from Archie's bedroom window. Alice and Betty argues. Alice is distraught and doesn't understand why Betty wants her brother to suffer. She also explains that Charles is in pain and that he asked her to put him out of his misery. But Betty retorts that there has been too much death under their roof. And she won't allow her to kill Charles.

At dinner, Betty thinks she has found a solution to the blood poisoning that is killing Charles.[11]

Slaughter-Con[]

Betty, Charles and Agent Drake came up with a plan to lure TBK to Riverdale. Slaughter-Con, a serial killer fan convention. Charles believes that it will attract TBK as long as he and Betty are the focus. To be cautious, they'll have an agent stationed outside the house to ensure Charles and Alice's safety.

Alice attends Slaughter-Con

For the main event of day two of Slaughter-Con, Betty has a one-on-one sit down interview with her mother in front of the entire convention, where Betty details her time spent with TBK and how she had to dismember a body to prove her loyalty. After taking questions from the audience and discussing why serial killers wear masks, they receive a call from TBK himself. He accuses Betty of wearing a human mask and claims to have seen her true face underneath when she dismembered the body at his behest. Betty welcomes him to join her on stage, but he refuses to be caught. But if she were to catch him, he asks what she would do next, perhaps live a normal, white picket fence life with Archie, he remarks sarcastically, as he personally believes that their story ends with the two of them sharing a kiss in the dark.

Alice and Charles are held hostages

The closing night of Slaughter-Con, Betty heads back to Archie's house, where she looks out the bedroom window and discovers TBK standing in her bedroom. She grabs her gun and rushes over to find a dead agent on the floor and her mother and Charles restrained to chairs at the dinning room table with plastic bags on their head. When Betty removes the bag, Alice reveals that TBK is waiting for her in the garage, where Betty discovers that he has an entire dinner planned for the two of them. Betty doesn't intend to entertain him any further and commands him to take off his mask. Instead, he instructs Betty to put her mask on, which he constructed himself to resemble his own. He claims that they're alike, but Betty insists that they're not. TBK gives Betty two options: either she kills him with her father's gun, or she puts on the mask and they kill her mother and brother together. Betty accuses him of being deranged, though she does seem slightly enticed to put on the mask, though she resists the urge to do so and shoots TBK instead. After shooting and killing TBK, Betty sets Charles and Alice free.[12]

Alice will get an exclusive

Alice welcomes Mayor Pickens in her kitchen, serving tea and wondering about the purpose of his visit. Percival replies that his inevitable victory is almost upon them. He wants to document his history for posterity. Alice is thrilled of being granted an exclusive sit-down interview, Barbara Walters style. Percival agrees, adding that after that RIVW can broadcast the live execution of three traitors to his cause; Reggie Mantle, Kevin Keller, and Marty Mantle. The shock almost wears off Percival's mind compulsion from Alice, who ask him to repeat what he just said. Percival regains his mind control, manipulating Alice once again. He explains that they're on the verge of war, and to think on the ratings boost.

RD-Caps-6x20-Return-to-Rivervale-26-Alice

Alice interviews Percival

The day of the interview, Percival starts his story claiming he was one of the first settlers from the Old World who came to the land near the Sweetwater River in 1580, abroad a ship named the Ruby Pearl. Alice is confused by such absurd claim, but Percival doesn't mind her and tells her to be patient. Still under his spell, Alice obeys and keeps the interview going. Percival reveals that he is a sorcerer and when he was caught in an attempt at summoning the Devil, he was sentenced to death by the Sweetwater Village'S Council – Asher Andrews, Blessing Cooper, James Jones, and Charity Blossom – who chained him to a pillory in the middle of Fox Forest to die a slow, agonizing death from starvation and exposure. This is when he made a deal with devil, being so bold asking for immortality that he wouldn't have to give him his soul. Alice comments that he was very clever to cheat the devil like that.

RD-Caps-6x20-Return-to-Rivervale-89-Alice

Alice grows concerned

Percival again confuses Alice when he starts talking about Rivervale, a parallel joint dimension with the town of Riverdale. Alice tries to follow his story but is visibly skeptical about Percival's story about himself transported from one dimension to another after an explosion. All these revelations cracks Percival's control due to Alice skepticism in his words but she's nonetheless captivated by his narrative. Percival goes on, telling that he sworn revenge against the citizens of Rivervale, of which a version of their descendants now live in Riverdale. Alice connects the dots of Percival's plan; he tried to buy Andrews house, became a deputy, joined the Riverdale Town Council, opened his Curiosity Shop, woving himself into the fabrics of the town. Percival adds that as he slowly took over, he started to sideline his enemies. Alice is inquisitive about the nature of those powers. Percival surmises that as he slipped out of Rivervale, some of its arcane energies must have escaped and seeped into Riverdale and giving powers to some of its townspeople. Perhaps the Universe wanted if not a fair fight, at least an equal one.

RD-Caps-6x20-Return-to-Rivervale-133-Alice-Frank-Tom

Alice will be executed with Frank and Tom

Alice has just a few more question for Mayor Pickens. Once this epic battle of good versus evil is over, assuming that he wins, what does his Riverdale looks like? Percival explains that the settlers' dream was a land of freedom and opportunity, of workers' and equal rights for all. Percival, however, believes they are all lies since given enough time, societies always curdles, rots, corrupts. Alice looks around at the crew as Percival becomes quite agitated, ranting of his desire of a land to rule as he sees fit. Where his enemies are at his mercy. A land controlled by the Dark Arts free from hypocritical laws – The Sovereign State of Percival.

Given that Reggie, Kevin and Marty were rescued Alice was selected for execution along with Tom and Frank. All three bound and blindfolded with a black handkerchief in front of three guillotines at the Babylonium, live-streamed. [15]

Alice is beheaded together with Tom and Frank. The bodies are held hostage by Percival and his Ghoulies soldiers headed by Twyla Twyst. Archie and Veronica manage to get the coffins back but the heads are missing and Cheryl can't resurrect corpses that are not whole.

After the Serpents storms into the Babylonium to fight the Ghoulies, Toni, Fangs and Kevin retrieve the heads in refrigerated containers stashed in the kitchens. Betty supervises Dr. Curdle Jr. sewing back the heads. Cheryl, then, uses her Phoenix powers to resurrect the three fallen Riverdelians.

Alice with her daughters

Alice is reunited not only with Betty but also with Polly, discovering she too was brought back to life. Now Alice can recover from Percival's mind control that she finally wore off.

Unfortunately, the plans don't go as hoped. Gathered in Archie's living room, Heather and Cheryl have bad news. Although the "Super Teens" have defeated Percival, Heather has discovered that the Bailey's Comet will no longer pass over Riverdale as planned but will crash into the town. Tabitha comes to the conclusion this is the apocalyptic vision she had.[16]

The comet[]

Betty apologize to her daughters

In less than 18 hours, Bailey's Comet will collide with Riverdale, courtesy of Percival's spell, his final act of vengeance against the town and those who inhabit it. While Archie and the boys try to escavate tunnels and Cheryl and Heather find a loophole in the spell, the others try to do their best to help. Whatever happens, Alice is grateful that she, Betty, and Polly are at least together to face this latest threat as a family. She apologizes for not being a better mother, but Betty assures her that they know she'd do anything for them, along with reminding her mother just how much she's loved.

Last night in Riverdale

Archie and the gang have gathered at Thornhill, where Cheryl shares that she might be able to melt the comet with her Phoenix powers, in addition to breaking Percival's binding spell so that they can evacuate the town. For the latter, Cheryl informs Toni that the two of them will have to speak privately at a later time. In the meantime, a catch remains regarding the comet; it will require all of Cheryl's Phoenix energies, meaning if she succeeds, one or more of the dead she's resurrected will perish, as it is her powers that are keeping the dead alive, which includes Archie, Jughead, Polly, Nana Rose, Dagwood, Alice, Frank, Tom, Fangs, and Toni. If Riverdale is to live, one or many of them must die.
