Following the 5-episode event, which will conclude with Riverdale’s 100th episode, the series will go on hiatus and return on March 6, 2022, in its new time slot, Sundays at 8/7c

This now makes two time slot moves in the span of a single season. With that in mind, not to mention that I think the cast contracts end with S6, this could possibly be the final season.
